History of Laodicea, Charismatic Movement, Rapture and Overcoming

Posted by on Jun 16, 2013 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

I just recently launched my new website, ChurchofPhiladelphia.net, a thought experiment in better defining the church of philadelphia today, per biblical guidelines, early church structure in the New Testament and how to avoid Christian cults were the first 2 posts. I suppose this is my attempt to start a site where I can cover other theological topics than demonology, and provide some better guidance for studies on doctrine. Just posted the third post,  Charismatic Movement is Church of Laodicea – Is Calvary Chapel a Christian Cult? Vineyard, Neocharismatics This has a lot of overlap with this site, including some prophetic study of the church letters to Laodicea and Philadelphia, and the Laodicean “overcoming” and Rapture topic. It may be the first time I have delved much into current events and more recent church history. Using biblical discernment, we trace the antichrist spirit, false prophecy and sorcery down from the 1960s to the present day through the Charismatic Movement, George Van Tassel and Victor Paul Weirwille, to Lonnie Frisbee, then through Calvary Chapel and the Vineyard on into the NeoCharismatics, peaking with the Serpent’s Seed Heresy. We also take a look at if Calvary Chapel is a Christian Cult, and why people think it is one. It’s a long study but I think you will find it worthwhile, and is especially relevant to anyone who is part of the charismatic movement. http://churchofphiladelphia.net/CharismaticMovement1.mp3 http://churchofphiladelphia.net/CharismaticMovement2.mp3 http://churchofphiladelphia.net/CharismaticMovement3.mp3 http://churchofphiladelphia.net/CharismaticMovement4.mp3 http://churchofphiladelphia.net/CharismaticMovement5.mp3 Here is some more detail on what was covered in this 9 hour 5 part series: Understanding Biblical Old Testament and New Testament Church Structure The Untold Coverup: The George Van Tassel / Lonnie Frisbee Connection – What Jesus on a flying saucer?! A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 7 – Insights from Satan’s Story – On God is Love

So, what does this mean about what you have been told about Satan? Is Satan shiny? Yes. But is he actually a snake, serpent, or reptilian? Or a red horned goat man? No. He looks like a cherubim, a shiny cherubim, because he is a cherubim. Is he actually covered with jewels? He might have that appearance, or it might just be symbolic, but he still just looks like a cherubim. Was Satan heaven’s choir director? How about Satan himself being a one-man-band living musical instrument? No, there’s nothing in the scriptures to indicate that. Did God give Satan the planet in some pre-Adamic creation? Did God give authority over the world to Satan when man fell into sin? Or did Satan inherit authority over the earth when mankind fell into sin, because he owned it prior? No, what “anointed cherubim” means is that Satan essentially worked as a security guard in Eden, to keep people away from the tree of life. He is called the “prince of this world” because he received the nations from the Divine Council members, starting by around 700 BC. In other words, there was a lot of history prior to Satan coming into power, like about 3300 years of biblical human history before Satan even rose into power over the world. This is what the Bible teaches, but why haven’t you heard this? That is because for the past 2000 years, Satan has tried to lie to the world about who he is. One part of this is trying to keep Christians ignorant, another is by spreading confusion in lies about himself. That’s why most of what you have heard so extremely exaggerates Satan’s place in history, power, and importance. No doubt he is evil, that is true, and you have heard that, but most importantly, what you have heard also tried to make God out to be evil too, or at least incompetent. Why would a good God give Satan all this power over the world, foreknowing Satan would be evil? God didn’t. God gave power over the world to a council of what were good angels at the time. By their own choices, but under Satan’s influence, they feel into sin and took side with Satan, handing their nations over to Satan. Did God make Satan to be evil? No, he made Satan to be wise and shiny. By Satan’s own free will choice he decided to become evil, because he wanted to be God. Have no sympathy for the devil. After deceiving mankind into sin, death, and the fall, God was patient and gave Satan some 1600 years to think about what he had done and change in his heart, to make the decision for Eden to be a mistake. Instead, what we see is envy of God’s angels, and a desire for power, to have power more than them. And sadistic… how evil is it for the powerful to want to hurt, destroy, harm, despair, Job, a defenseless righteous and upright man who loves God, and does good? I’m mean, let’s say you were a creature who lived for thousands of years… and oops by your wit, interfering, showing off how smart you are, you get an entire creation condemned to die. Well, God has a solution in mind,...

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 6 – Satan’s Story Beginning to End – In the Lake of Fire

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 6 – Satan’s Story Beginning to End – In the Lake of Fire

And so now that we know what happened with Satan in Eden, let’s review our puzzle and the story of Satan that this puzzle explains:     In Eden, Satan, a shiny cherubim, was the “nachash”, the serpent. Perhaps like Satan later entered Judas to betray Jesus, in this case Satan somehow used the snake to speak to Eve through. (Also see Num 22:23-33 of an angel present and a talking donkey – so this is not unprecedented elsewhere in scripture.) We can know it was a literal snake, because the serpent was punished also, and made to literally go on its belly and eat dust. It seems that Satan, or the snake, had been present when God gave the singular command to Adam to not eat from the tree of life, and to hear God tell Eve she could eat from all the fruit trees. The cherubim Satan knew that Adam had lied to Eve, not conveyed God’s Words to her accurately (See Part 5). Let’s keep in mind, God had given dominion over the animals to Eve, and to Adam, and so this snake was under her authority. This could relate into why or how it was that this was allowed to happen, in that Satan could use a snake under her dominion, only because there was some purpose to the action of the snake that might serve her. It’s hard to prove or explain that, but I think there’s something to it, as the snake was an animal under her authority. Unlike today, at that time the animals may have all been more like pets, and that could factor into why Eve trusted the snake even though it talked, because to date all her animals were more like friendly pets, which she had authority over, so she both owned and trusted them. And this seems to be the setup situation that Satan worked through, talking to her through her pet. Working through the serpent, Satan deceived Eve not by lying to her, but with a sort of a double entendre, “You both will not die” and that is part of why he is called wise and crafty, and the Bible says Eve was deceived, beguiled, or thoroughly tricked, and does not say she was lied to. It seems Satan carefully chose words which were not fully lies, but still were tricky and misleading with a double meaning, perhaps so as to claim innocence as to any malicious intent. God is just, and it is possible that the woman would not have been held culpable if in fact Satan had clearly told her that “if either of you eat, that individual will not die”. Satan’s ability to deny malicious intent “oh, she just misunderstood me” OR “well, the man lied to her, I was just trying to see who she believed, you or the man, I didn’t lie to her, everything I said was technically true… she took it wrong …” etc. or something like that. This could be why we see Satan, not yet being judged and condemned to fire, but rather next, at this time, being stationed as the ‘anointed cherub that coverath” to guard the tree of life, to prevent Adam from eating from the tree, making them immortal and sinful, which would have...

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 5 – The Garden of Eden and Temptation of Eve

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 5 – The Garden of Eden and Temptation of Eve Speaking of the enemy’s attempt to have lies and ignorance lead to a lack of correct understanding about the Bible, there are two parts of this story which have not been covered yet, despite all appearance to the contrary. That would be the very beginning with the temptation in Eden, and the very end in the lake of fire. It would be negligent to not cover these matters, in doing a thorough scriptural analysis of Satan, so I am including them, despite that as controversial as they are, it could make this entirely unpalatable to most of Christianity. But I am here to tell you the truth, about what the Bible teaches, not to hold back information because it is unacceptable to many Christians. First some key information. I have taught out on my website, or see my “Case Against the Book of Enoch” video, something called spiritual multiplication and paternal spiritual lineage. I will quote from there: [Begin Excerpt on Paternal Spiritual Multiplication] First God made Adam, “And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Gen 2:7) Once Adam’s body had received the “breath of life”, then he became a living soul. From this we can understand that a body, that then has the “breath of life” added to it, results in a new “living soul”. The word here for “soul” is clarified in the New Testament, 1 Cor 15:45 “And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul(psyche); the last Adam was made a quickening spirit(pneuma).” The word here for “soul” is “psyche” and it means “life” and “soul”. It is also used in Matt 10:28 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” But there is a different word that is used in 1 Cor 15 for “spirit”, and that is “pneuma”. The soul and the spirit of a human are different. Heb 4:12, For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The “spirit” is the “breathe of life” mentioned in Gen 2:7 which is the “spirit” which gives life. Job also records that it is the spirit, or breath of God, which gives us life. “The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.” Job 33:4 “All the while my breath [is] in me, and the spirit (ruach) of God [is] in my nostrils” Job 27:3 So for each of us, we cannot become a living soul until the breath of life, the spirit of God, is added to our body. Originally, God breathed a spirit into Adam’s body, and he became a living soul. Did God do the same with Eve, and breathe a spirit into her? No, such is not recorded. “And the...

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 4 – Divine Council – Stars Swept Down By the Dragon’s Tail

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 4 – Divine Council – Stars Swept Down By the Dragon’s Tail

If you want to learn in detail about the Divine Council, then read through Dr. Michael S. Heiser’s website, TheDivineCouncil.com. I first learned of this from his research and original work on it, which is really just revolutionary theology in the modern era, restoring concepts that obviously has gotten lost from the Christian knowledge base at some point. So most of my research on this draws from his research on it, though it is slightly modified, as I differ in my views in a few minor ways. I cannot over-emphasize how important it is to understand the Divine Council research Dr. Heiser has done when it comes to understanding the Bible, and especially in this case, bible prophecy as it relates to Satan and other fallen angels. So if you haven’t studied his website, you really should do so. I cover this topic in my book A Modern Guide to Demons and Fallen Angels, in the chapter called “The Second Wave of Fallen Angels”. So please go read that chapter, and then come back here. (I also cover this in a picture storyboard format, summarized in brief, in the video History of Fallen Angels, Abaddon, Sons of God, Watchers.) [Chapter “The Second Wave of Fallen Angels”] So now, let’s go back to our dangling clues. Satan wants to exalt his throne above the stars angels of God, or angels of God. Satan’s tail swept down a third of the stars or angels of the sky and casts them down to earth, seemingly after the flood, but before Jesus Christ was born. Isaiah, circa 700 BC, calls Satan the king of Babylon, and prophecies against him. As well as Ezekiel, circa 550s BC, calls Satan the king of Tyrus, and also prophecies his downfall. Satan offers to trade his authority over all the kingdoms of the world to Jesus in exchange for worship, Jesus refuses, but by that time Jesus calls him the “prince of this world” and Satan says he received this authority, but does not say from who, how, or when. But later Satan gives this authority to the Antichrist or Beast from the Sea. When you consider these clues in light of the Divine Council paradigm, it becomes clear that all of these dangling clues points directly to the Divine Council. Tying it all together, it appears that when the divine council was formed, maybe 2000-2200 BC, when Peleg was born, around 100 years after the flood…that it was then that God divided the nations according to the number of the sons of God type of angel, who looked like men, and gave them responsibility over the nations. But then there was Satan, the serpent, who after deceiving Eve into tempting Adam, resulting in the Fall of mankind into sin, spends some 1600 years stationed in Eden, and likely it was then that he said, I will ascend into heaven, and when the flood took place, he became able to roam the earth and to enter heaven. But he did not receive a nation under him, as the sons of God did, because he was a cherubim type of angel, and not a son of God type of angel. And he saw the Divine Council assembling there, the sons of God, each having a nation they were responsible...

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 3 – Ezekiel 28 & Isaiah 14

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 3 – Ezekiel 28 & Isaiah 14

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 3 Ezekiel 28 & Isaiah 14 Understanding Bible Prophecy Part 6   Our last action was to fill in the beginning of Satan’s story, in Eden, which also served to highlight that now we have both the beginning AND also the end of Satan’s story, in the lake of fire. So, as that is the case, one thing we might be looking for to reveal more information, is another passage that talks about someone being in Eden, or being destroyed by fire. Our last thread that was left hanging, closest to a match we had, was on the “sons of God” in Job. So let’s just do a word search on these terms to see if we can find anything. ”Lake of fire” nope “thrown into fire” nope “sons of God” hmmm well seems some “sons of God” took wives in Genesis 6… that might be interesting to pursue,  but Satan doesn’t seem to be mentioned here. We covered this story in great detail in part 2, and more in part 3 in this series, but now we are focusing on proving out Satan’s story, so let’s not pursue this for now. Okay… “garden of Eden” hmm let’s see Joel 2… Ezekiel 28… and Ezekiel 31. Ezekiel 31 we have the Assyrian… buried in the pit when God restrained the flood water… nope that’s not it… Satan seems to still be active and free to roam, not buried in the Earth….  Joel 2 seems to be about God’s horse army… hmmm… no mention of Satan… Okay…. Ezekiel 28… aha! 11 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. 18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee,...

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 2 – Chronology of Revelation 12

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 2 – Chronology of Revelation 12

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 2 – Chronology of Revelation 12Understanding Bible Prophecy Part 6 (The Script is Below – See Video for Visuals) Now the first thing to do when starting to put together a puzzle is to make sure you have all the pieces to the puzzle. Since our puzzle is about Satan and bible prophecy, we need to collect together all the pieces in the Bible about Satan. http://www.blueletterbible.org/search/translationResults.cfm?Criteria=satan&t=KJV If we do a word search for “Satan” then we can see, that Satan is mentioned by name 56 times, in 49 verses in the Bible, using the KJV. Most of these times are instances of Satan mentioned in the 3rd person, often by Jesus, either in the Gospels, or in the Epistles. Then there are a few passages in which we can see Satan doing something in particular in the present, action passages. And then there are even fewer times in which Satan is named and speaks, really only in Job and during the temptation of Jesus Christ in the Gospels. Having done this puzzle before, I can tell you that the passages we need to focus on are passages in which we can derive specific actions or dates out of them, and not so much the passages where Satan is generally mentioned to be working evil. As much of bible prophecy about Satan focuses on key chronological events, we are looking for specifics. In Chronicles he provokes David to take a census, we can date this to circa 1010-970 BC. Then we have the events of Satan and Job, who is thought to be a contemporary of Abraham, circa 1900-1700 BC. Satan is rebuked by the Lord over Joshua the high priest in Zechariah 3, around 520 BC. Then Jesus is tempted by Satan circa 30 AD. Jesus mentions Satan many times as doing things, but as for actual events, there is the temptation, Jesus says he is seeing Satan fall from heaven as lighting, and Satan entering into Judas to betray Jesus. Then spiritual warfare against Satan is presented in the epistles, going up through to Revelation, which also mentions Satan several times. As to key events, Satan is identified as doing things in Revelation 12 and 20, in passages of prophecy. Elsewhere in Revelation Satan the dragon is mentioned in relation to the Beast and end times tribulation events. All of these verses can be summed down to a few actual places in scripture, in which Satan is mentioned by name. In chronological order, this gives us: Satan and the story of Job 1900-1700 BC Satan and the census of David in 1 Chronicles 1010-970 BC Satan rebuked by the Lord in Zech 3 520 BC Satan and the temptation of Jesus Matt & Luke 4 30 AD Satan falling from heaven as lighting Luke 10:18 30 AD Satan and the betrayal of Judas Luke 22:3 30 AD Satan casting down a third of the stars to earth with his tail – Revelation 12 Satan and the war in heaven, cast to earth – Revelation 12 Satan battling against the other children of the woman – Revelation 12 Satan in end times tribulation events – Revelation Satan bound in the Abyss/pit for 1000 years – Revelation 20 Satan thrown...

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 1 – Prophecy as Puzzles

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Part 1 – Prophecy as Puzzles

A Scriptural Analysis of the History of Satan – Understanding Bible Prophecy Part 6  SECTION 1 – Prophecy as Puzzles and General Puzzle Solving Theory (Script Below. Please Note: We do not cover the scriptures till Part 2. You can safely skip this section if you do not think you need a primer on puzzle solving theory.) In this video we are going to start out with what I think is a great teaching example of how to read Bible prophecy, which God supplied in the Bible for us. This will be a study of all the passages in the Bible on Satan, and putting them into a correct historical framework. For those who have been following this series, please make sure to not miss the addendum video to Part 3, it’s about 17 minutes long, and it adds 3 more points of “His Ways” and renumbers them all into 17 points, which is the numbering system I will be using from here on out. Now we are going to start off with some puzzle solving theory that is foundational to understanding this study. In this series we have already covered that the Bible itself teaches that Bible Prophecy as a genre is composed of riddles or puzzles, enigmas, ciphers, conundrums, etc. and that the Bible itself defines the wisdom of the wise in solving riddles as needed in order to solve bible prophecy. However, we have also covered that God has hidden these things from the wise and prudent in this world, and revealed them unto babes, unto children, and that in this age in order to become wise, you must become a fool to the world. As we get into this study on the scriptures about Satan, please keep this in mind. There are maybe some of you who are going to find this study difficult to follow, not because it is hard, but because it is too simple. And because you have dogma and traditional teachings you have been told standing in the way of receiving new information. So I’d just like to ask that you try to study the Bible like an empty cup, like you hadn’t looked at the scriptures before on this or heard anything about this subject, because it’s impossible to fill a cup that’s full already, you have to be empty to be filled. If the space is full already, you can pour like you would into an empty cup, but the cup is not going to receive anything. I’m just asking that you finish this study having gave it a fair review, like looking at the Bible in a new way, like looking at it for the first time, not just giving everything a pass/fail based on how it matches up or doesn’t match up to traditional teachings you have been taught. Because let’s face it, most people are taught What to think, instead of being taught How to think: but the point of this series is to teach you How to think about Bible prophecy, so you can understand it yourself. But to do that, we have to first cover problem solving theory, which means we have to think about thinking, and how we think to do puzzles. And that also means that before delving into more complex end times bible prophecy puzzles,...

The time to prepare for surviving coming events is now. Whether you are Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, Independent, or a Charismatic, any type of Christian, this video is for you. But even if you are not a Christian at all, you will likely still find this video beneficial.
